Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. I and No. 2 BV-1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 BV-2 Docket No. 50-412, License No. NPF-73 Protection Against Malevolent Use of Vehicles Enclosed is a summary description of the vehicle control measures to be established at Beaver Valley Power Station as required by 10 CFR 73.55(c/7) and the results of the vehicle bomb comparison as required by 10 CFR 73.55(c)(8).
This information is being submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 73.55(c)(9)(i).
This information was developed using the guidance provided by the NRC in NUREG/CR-6190, Vol. 2. It has come to our attention that a potential concern exists regarding Jersey barrier design. Subsequent changes to the initial guidance could impact our ability to meet the implementation deadline for this rule change. The results of the preliminary evaluation of this situation indicate a potential delay of several months to re-engineer, procure and install another type of barrier or to enhance the present design.
A portion of the enclosed materials is considered Safeguards Information under the provisions of 10 CFR 73.21(b)(4), and is thereby exempt from public disclosure.
