Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
In accordance with Section 6.9.2 of the Technical Specifications for H. B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant, Unit No. 2, the following event is reported.
At approximately 1800 hours0.0208 days <br />0.5 hours <br />0.00298 weeks <br />6.849e-4 months <br /> on September 16, 1983, it was determined that the Technical Specification instantaneous release limit for radio-iodine was exceeded during that e.f ternoon.
Investigation of this event is continuing in an effort to determine the source of the radioiodine.
No additional releases, greater than the normally expected levels, have occurred.
This event was reported on the evening of September 16, 1983, to the NRC, Region II, and Mr. G. P. Beatty, Jr., Manager - Robinson Nuclear
