Mr. J.
B. Mr:rtin September 9,1983 When the missing fire penetration seals were identified during the 18-month routine surveillance inspection, compensatory fire watches were maintained or initiated pursuant to Technical Specification 3.7.9, Action Statement
'a'.
The missing penetration seals have now been installed.
Since the 18-month surveillance examined approximately 2,600 penetration seals and only 5 seals were found missing, the extent of this deficiency is considered to be minor, therefore, no further corrective action is required.
If you have any questions regarding the above, please so advise.
Sincerely,
