CAD I Airopu ntenni nni, y The purpose of this procedure is to provide administrative guidelines for the Callaway Plant Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program.
2.0 SCOPE This procedure sets forth and provides administrative guidelines for the various organizations involved in the Callaway Plant Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program.
T This procedure does not apply to the analysis of samples.
3.0 DEFINITIONS 3.1 Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program (REMP)
A program to provide radiological background data on the environment surrounding the plant site and information for determining the radiological impact on the environment caused by the operation of the Callaway Plant.
3.2 Annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report

4.2 Manager, Quality Assurance The Manager, Quality Assurance shall have the responsibility to audit to assure compliance with the provisions of Regulatory Guide 4.15.
4.3 Supervising Engineer, Nuclear Environmental The Supervising Engineer, Nuclear Environmental or his designee shall have the ongoing responsibility for implementation and

monitoring of the REMP.
Specific responsibilities include:

4.4 Supervising Biologist, Environmental Service Department The Supervising Biologist will have the responsibility for the collection of soil
- samples, vegetation samples and aquatic samples and for shipment of these samples to the appropriate laboratories.
4.5 Supervisor, Health Physics Operations The Supervisor, Health Physics Operations at the Callaway Plant shall have the responsibility for the collection and shipment of groundwater
- samples, milk samples, airborne samples, and TLD's for the Callaway Plant in accordance with the Callaway Plant Administrative Procedure APA-ZZ-0031, Conduct of Health

5.0 INSTRUCTIONS FOR INFORM ATION ONLY 5.1 The responsible supervisors shall provide personnel and direction to implement their respective responsibilities.
5.2 Activities related to the REMP sample collection, sample shipment and analysis of results shall be performed in accordance with approved procedures.
5.3 Correspondence to REMP consultants shall ba handled and distributed by Nuclear Engineering, with the exception of sample shipments.
5.4 Revisions to the REMP may be initiated through UENE by any emp.Syee involved in REMP activities.
The revision shall be distributed by UENE to appropriate departments for comment.

5.5 REMP procedures may be initiated by any employee involved in REMP activities.
REMP procedures will be in accordance with QE-320, Control and Processing of Nuclear Engineering Department Procedures, except procedures used by Nuclear Operations, which will be in accordance with APA-ZZ-00101, Preparation, Review, Approval and Control of Plant Procedures.'
Initial procedures and changes to procedures shall be reviewed by Nuclear Engineering for compliance with the provisions of the REMP.
