VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY N0RTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 NUREG-0737 ITEM II.D.3 In our letter dated January 28, 1983 (Serial No. 044), Vepco was informed by Babcock and. Wilcox that the seismic and environmental qualification of the acoustical monitoring system, for the direct indication of relief and safety valve position (NUREG-0737, Item II.D.3) was still undergoing test plan development by the owner's group.
The completion of the owner's group test i
plan and the seismic and environmental qualification of the acoustical monitoring system was scheduled for July 31, 1983.
In recent conversations with-Babcock and Wilcox, Vepco was informed that the test plan development for the acoustical monitoring system was complete.
However, Babcock and Wilcox has informed Vepco that certain components had failed during the seismic and environmental qualification. Babcock and Wilcox is planning to retest the acoustical monitoring system for seismic and environmental qualification.
The completion of the retest program is currently scheduled for November, 1983 with issuance of the final report in January, 1984, i
