1. Heat Sinks

-All affected heat sinks will be replaced with a new style heat sink which will correct the problem. The new style heat sink is secured to the printed circuit board using screws and shoulder washers.

This will replace the present method _of securing the heat sink to the printed circuit board by relying on an adhesive bond.

2. . Mercury Relays A replacement relay is being developed and tested by Westinghouse.

These replacement relays will be installed in all NTC cards at Seabrook subsequent to development and testings.

We'will continue to follow both of these items and notify you when the replacement is complete.

Very truly yours, YANKEE TOMIC ELECTRIC C011PANY Os J. DeVincentis Project Manager cc: Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Service List Director, Office of Inspection and Enforcement U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 r
