Dear Mr. Miller:
Pressurized Thermal Shock (PTS)
In response to your request dated November 23, 1983 related to reactor vessel fluence associated with current and future core configurations, the District has established with Mr.
E.
G. Tourigny of your staff a scheduled submittal date of May 30, 1984 for the requested information.
This data will include the core power distributions and calculated flux dis-tributions at the vessel wall relative to Cycle 7 for Cycles 8 and 9.
The District will include similar da ta relative to Cycle 10.
The District will also discuss its philosophy of reactor vessel flux reduction for future cycles.
This will include discussions of fuel management and vessel shield in-stallation options at the Fort Calhoun Station.
The District is currently performing a preliminary probabi-listic risk assessment based study of the PTS risk at the Fort Calhoun Station relative to the risks discussed in SECY i
82-465.
If results from this study are available by May, 1984, they will be included in our letter.

It is expected that this meeting will be requested for shortly before or after submittal of this data.
