Dear Mr. Parise:

A non-compliance with respect to temperature increase across the condensers of Unit 2 was experienced for outfall 001 on February 11,19S3. The 12*FoT limitation was exceeded for about one hour, reaching a recorded high of 13.1*F.

Immediately power was reduced and eventually lowered to 40*6 to allow water boxes to be cleaned. .

The cause of the problem was that grasses and other debris, broken loose by the severe wave action, had restricted cooling water flow. Once this matter was removed, the temperature change returned to within the allowed range.

This is regarded as an uncontrollable, weather-related anomaly, and no other corrective action is planned. Should you have questions regarding this information, please feel free to call.

Very truly yours, l
