Docket No. 50-285

Dear fir. Seidle:

Schedule for Activation of the Permanent Emergency Operations Facility (E0F)

Omaha Public Power District's letter to your office dated October 29, 1982 stated that the District expected to activate the new permanent E0F by December 31, 1982. As discussed by telephone with Mr. Jim Gagliardo of your office on December 30, 1982 and with Mr. Jim Montgomery of your office in early January,1983, the earlier than scheduled plant outage due to turbine problems has delayed the completion of the training required to activate the new E0F.

In addition, the installation of communications equipment, including NRC dedicated telephone lines, is not presently complete.

The District is presently involved in completing the remaining tasks and we anticipate these tasks will be completed by February 1,1983.

Your l

office will be notified upon completion of these items and the activetion l

of the new E0F.

Sincerely, W. C. Q:: anes l
