Docket No. 50 482: Special Report 91-004 - Steam Generator Tube Plugging Report Gentlemen The purpose of this letter is to provide information regarding the number of tubes plugged in each steam generator as required by Wolf Creek Generation Station Technical Specifications (T/S).
Technical Specificatirm 4.4. L 5 states:
'Within 15 days tollowing the completion of each inservice inspection of steam generator tubes, the number of tubes plugged in each steam generator shall be reported to the conunission... '
The fourth steam generator (S/G) inservice inspection, which began October 16, 1991, was completed for S/G's
'A' and
'C' on October 24, 1991.
This inservice inspection includeci removal of al.'
Inconel 600 mechanical tube plugs in both S/G's "A" and
'C'.
These tubes were replugged with Inconel 690 mechanical tube plugs with the exception of tubes R28C56 and R2BC76 in S/G "C',
Eddy current testing of these two tubes determined them to be acceptable for return to service.
Two tubes in S/G
'C' were mechanically plugged because of Anti-Vibration Bar wear.
Theoe two tubes are R49086 and R49C88.
The complete results of the steam generator inservice inspection shall be reported to the Commission in a special report as required by T/L 4.4.5.5 by October 23, 1992.
