Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
Please find attached a supplemental response to Violation 369/83-32-03 which was identified in IE Inspection Report 50-369/83-32, 50-370/83-39. A supplemental response was requested in a December 7, 1983 letter from Mr.
R. C. Lewis of the NRC.
Duke Power Company does not consider any information contained in this response to be proprietary.
Very truly yours, 7d'B.SwI~/8d Hal'B. Tucker WHM:jfw Attachment cc:

Violation 50-369/83-32-03,- Severity Level V:
10 CFR 19.11 requires that the licensee shall post certain documents. Documents which must be posted shall appear in a sufficient number of places in order to
.permitLindividuals engaged in licensed activities to observe the documents on the way to or from any particular licensed activity location to which the docu-
. ment applies.
Contrary to'the above, documents required to be posted so that personnel would observe them on the way to and from licensed activities were not posted in that personnel entering the plant through the construction portal would not pass the required documents on their way to or from the station radiation control zone.
Supplemental Response:
Duke Power Company agrees that all of the information required by 10 CFR 19.11 was not posted in sufficient locations at McGuire Nuclear Station. ' Personnel entering the plant through.the construction portal could have missed seeing the required documents on the way to or from the station radiation control zone.
The required information was not posted properly due to a misunderstanding between Construction and Nuclear Production personnel. The group responsibility to identify and post the required documents was unclear. All required documents have been posted in the construction portal. The Station Licensing Engineer will ensure proper posting of documents at McGuire in the future. McGuire Nuclear Station is presently in full compliance with 10 CFR 19.11.
