INTERIM 10 CFR 50.55 (e) REPORT NO. U-64 CALLAWAY PLANT UNIT 1 Union Electric submitted an intefim report on Limitorque Gear failure in ULNRC-684 dated 11/11/83; con-currently a request was sent to Westinghouse to evaluate the situation and report their findings to Union Electric.

Westinghouse informed Union Electric by way of SNP (UE)-533 dated 12/21/83 that a final report would not be released from Limitorque until January 30, 1984. Therefore, Union Electric will submit a final report to the NRC by March 1, 1984.
