UNIT 1 - CONTAINMENT LEAKAGE TESTING

Dear Mr. Denton:

Please refer to the previous CG&E letter on this topic dated November 17, 1981.

This is in response to Section 1.8,

" Summary of Outstanding Issues" in the second supplement (SSER-2) to the Zimmer Safety Evaluation Report (NUREG-0528).

The outstanding issue of containment leakage testing is discussed further in Subsection 6.2-6 of SSER-2.

CG&E will air test its ECCS Injection Lines Isolation Valves.

Thic air test will be accomplished by pressuring the bonnets of the valves.

This will be documented in a subsequent FSAR Revision.
