Docket Nos. 50-361 and 50-362 Response to NRC Request for Information San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3 Your letter dated August 26, 1991, forwarded a request for information pursuant to 10 CFR 55.31(b) pertaining to an NRC licensed senior reactor operator having tested positive for alcohol following a random drug test that was taken on August 14, 1991, and confirmed on August 15, 1991. The purpose of this letter is to provide the requested information, and indicate actions taken in response to the event previously reported on August 15, 1991, purcuant to 10 CFR 26.73 (a) (2) (ii) .
As requested in your August 26 letter, an updated NRC Form 396,
" Certification of Medical Examination by Facility Licensee," will be forwarded to you following completion of the evaluation and reinstatement processes being conducted in accordance with our fitness-for-duty policies. Until such time that these requirements are satisfied, and the updated Form 396 is submitted,-the individual will not be performing licensed duties.
