In our letter dated May 29, 1990, GPUN committed to replace differential pressure switches (DPS 66, - Group 1, Loop 13), which open the torus to reactor building vacuum breakers, during the current cycle 13R outage.
The historical delft data evaluated at that time indicated a potential for exceeding the Technical Specification allowable limit.
Also, an improved switch was believed to exist.
Confirming our discussions with the NRC staff on May 28, 1991, further evaluation of data obtained subsequent to our May 29, 1990 letter shows that the drift range of the instruments currently installed is acceptable and the switches e,nsidered c' replacements have been determined to offer no improvenient.
Therefota, we have decided not to replace the DPS 66 switches during the 13h a +tsv.
We will continue to assess the performance of these instruments.
