Docket Nos. 50-361 and 50-362 Special Report - Inoperable Meteorological Instrumentation San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3 In accordance with Technical Specification 3.3.3.4 (a) of Facility Operating Licenses NPF-10 and NPF-15 for San Onofre Units 2 and 3, respectively, Edison is submitting this letter to report one or more channels of the meteorological monitoring instrumentation being inoperable for more than 7 days.
-On February'7,' 1995, the' two delta temperature instrument readings began'to deviate from each other and were declared inoperable.
This failure was caused by ele'ctrical~ current i
leakage in outdoor signal. wire connectors due to continued California. winter storms.
All other meteorological instrumentation remained operable.
Edison replaced the defective connectors upon the return of fair 4
weather, and restored the delta temperature instruments to service on February 21, 1995.
