Narrative Summarv of Operatino Experiences Unit 1 began the month of January at a nominal 100% of rated thermal power (RTP).

Power was reduced to 21.2% RTP.

During the powar reduction the seal stabilized and cavity pressure returncd to normal.

The situation was reviewed and it was determined that the recirculation pump seal would not be reworked at this time.

Power was returned to 100% RTP on January 3, t

Narrative Summary of Operatina Experiences Unit 2 began the month of January at 63.7% of Rated Thermal Power (RTP) in end-of-cycle coastdown.

Power reduction occurred throughout this operating period due to end-of-cycle coastdown.

RTP for scaffold erection in preparation for refueling activities.

At 1650 hours0.0191 days <br />0.458 hours <br />0.00273 weeks <br />6.27825e-4 months <br />, at 37% RTP, the Unit entered single loop operation when the 2B Reactor Recirculation Motor-Generator (MG) set was removed from service in order to work on the 2B MG set ground detection system.

On January 17, 1995, at 0003 hours3.472222e-5 days <br />8.333333e-4 hours <br />4.960317e-6 weeks <br />1.1415e-6 months <br />, power was increased to 43.4% RTP.

RTP due to a 2A reactor recirculation pump runback.

The runback occured while securing the 2A condensate pump from service and a low level signal was recieved.

Level returned to normal and power was stabilized at 35% RTP.

Power was restored to 42% RTP at 0902 hours0.0104 days <br />0.251 hours <br />0.00149 weeks <br />3.43211e-4 months <br /> on January 19, 1995.

On January 26, 1995, at 1631 hours0.0189 days <br />0.453 hours <br />0.0027 weeks <br />6.205955e-4 months <br /> power was reduced to 38%

RTP in order to place the 2B Reactor Recirculation MG set in service.

The 2B MG set was returned to service on January 26, 1995.

At 1830 hours0.0212 days <br />0.508 hours <br />0.00303 weeks <br />6.96315e-4 months <br /> power was returned to 55.8% RTP.

On January 27, 1995, at 0112 hours0.0013 days <br />0.0311 hours <br />1.851852e-4 weeks <br />4.2616e-5 months <br />, power reduction was started in preparation for refueling.

At 1000 hours0.0116 days <br />0.278 hours <br />0.00165 weeks <br />3.805e-4 months <br /> the Unit was manually shutdown from 21% RTP and the plant entered Operational Condition 3, Hot Shutdown.

On January 27, 1995, at 1857 hours0.0215 days <br />0.516 hours <br />0.00307 weeks <br />7.065885e-4 months <br /> Operational Condition 4, Cold Shutdown, was entered when the reactor coolant temperature reached 200 degrees F.
