1330 Unit: 2 Technical Specification Involved: 3 1.A Conditions Prior to Occurrence:
10/14/83 - unit 2 was operating at 1005 and units 1 artd 3 in refueling outage.
Identification and Descrintion of Occurrence:
On 10/13/83, during routine analysis of-the 10/07/83 unit 2 scram, it.was observed that 2-LT-85-45A apparently did not initiate a trip when the level in the SDIV exceeded 50 gallons. This raised questions concerning the response of the transmitter and an investigation began. All other instruments on SDIV responded as expected.
On 10/14/83, testing of the transmitter revealed slow and erratic response to measured variable.
Annarent Canma of Occurrence:
l The Rosemount differential pressure transmitter model 1153 - DB4N0005 had a slow and erratic response to measured variable. A problem inside the i
sealed transmitter is indicated.

Corrective Action Taken or Plannad:
Scram channel "A" was tripped at 1405 on 10/13/83 A replacement transmitter was installed, calibrated, response checked, functionally tested, and returned to service at 0134 on 10/14/63 An investigation into the slow and erratic response will continue.
