Dear Mr. Stolz:
Under separate cover, we are transmitting three (3) original and forty (40) conformed copies of an application for Amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-3 for the Davis-Besse Nuc1 car Power Station Unit No. 1.
This application requests that the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit 1 Technical Specifications, Appendix A, be revised to reflect the cha ;ges attached. The proposed changes involve Section 4.1.2.I, 4.1.2.2, 3.1.2.8 and 3.1.2.9.
The attachment identifies the proposed changes and its safety evaluation and significant hazard consideration. The change concerns the surveil-lance requirement for temperature verification during and after transport of demineralized water and low boron concentration of liquids of less than 5000 ppm boron. The change would extend the time for verification up to 8 hours9.259259e-5 days <br />0.00222 hours <br />1.322751e-5 weeks <br />3.044e-6 months <br />. This verification of temperature also verifies the operability l
of the associated heat tracing.
This amendment request involves a revision to a previous submittal dated February 22, 1983 (Serial No. 913). Therefore, no fee is incurred.
