Docket Nos. 50-361 and 50-362 Special Report San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 3 This letter provides the 10 day special report required by Technical Specificati)n 3.3.3.4.a of Fsci!ity Operating License NPF-10 and NPF15 for Units 2 and 3, respectively, whenever one or more of the required meteorological monitoring channels is out of service for more than 7 days.
On October 29,1994, Edison removed the primary and secondary Meteorological towers from service for planned equipment upgrades to improve system reliability.
Edison plans to complete the system upgrades and return the Meteorological towers to service by November 23,1994. In the interim, meteorological data will be obtained from the Emergency Operations Facility meteorological tower and from National Weather C9rvice contacts at local and regional airports.
