ANNUAL REPORT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 6.9.1.5 HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 This annual report of challenges to Main Steam Line Safety /

Relief Valves (SRVs) is being submitted pursuant to the requirements of Technical Specification 6.9.1.5 for the year of 1994.

On April 27, 1994 during startup following Refuel Outage 5, all Main Steam Line Safety / Relief Valves were tested to ensure reliability of the SRVs and to comply with Technical Specification requirements for the ADS designated valves.

on lo-lo set actuation in / Relief Valves "H" and "P" lifted On October 2, 1994, Safety response to a turbine control and stop valve closure.

These valves operated per design with no malfunctions noted.

Safety / Relief Valve "K" lifted on pressure setpoint during this event.

Available data following the event could not confirm the valve lifted at the appropriate setpoint.

The data indicated that the valve may have lifted earay; subsequently, the valve was declared 1

inoperable.

No additional unplanned challenges occurred in 1994.
