As the closest city downwind of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, the City of Pismo Beach requests that you carefully analyze the information provided by the October 24, 1983 Design and Construction Quality Assurance Hearings held in San Luis Obispo, and review all corrections before rein-statement of any licenses to Pacific Gas and Electric Company to operate the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.
We make this request as elected officials, to protect the health and safety of the residents of and visitors to the City of Pismo Beach.
