Subject:
Request for Extension of Time in Responding to Section 2.2.2 of NRC Generic Letter 83-28
Dear Sir:
This letter requests an extension of time for responding to Section 2.2.2 (Vendor Interface) of Reference (b) for Seabrook Station. We are a member of a Nuclear Utility Task Action Committee (NUTAC) formed on September 1, 1983, for the specific purpose of defining an appropriate vendor interface program.
In view of our status as an applicant for an operating license and our planned participation in the SEE-IN and NPRDS programs, we believe that a time extension will have no adverse impact on public health and safety.
While participating in the NUTAC, we will concurrently evaluate, in more detail, our existing capabilities for interfacing with our vendors. We will submit our program description to the NRC by February 29. 1984, after completion of the NUTAC's efforts.
Very truly yours, Yankee Atomic Electric Company Hw I
