On July 11, 1991, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued a Notice of Violation (EA 91-17) for issues at the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant Units 1 and 2.
Details of the NRC inspections are prov1ded in Inspection Report Nos. 50-325/91-17 and 50-324/91-17 dated July 11, 1991.

The enclosure to thls letter'provides CP&L's reply to the-Notice of Violation in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201.
The enclosure has been designated as Safeguards Information and should be protected in accordance with 10CFR73.21.
