Affidavit of John S. Kemper Vice President, Engineering and Research Philadelphia Electric Company John S. Kemper being first duly sworn according to law comes forward and states:
1.
My name is John S. Kemper. I am Vice President, Engineering and Research, of the Philadelphia Electric Company.
In this position, I have overall responsibility for the design and construction of the Limerick Generating Station.
2.
In its Second Special Prehearing Conference Order (LBP-83-39) dated July 26, 1983 at 38-39, the Company was requested to verify certain portions of counsel's letter to the Board dated May 20, 1983.
In the process of conducting a further review of.this matter to respond to the Board's request, it was discovered that not all welds which were inspected by the subject' inspector had been identified and therefore not reinspected as had previously been believed.

3.
It presently appears that in addition to the 29 Weld Inspection Plans listed on page 8 of 8 of Attachment 8 to counsel's May 20, 1983 letter, there are a number of Weld Inspection Plans in which the subject inspector participated.
4.
The Company is presently continuing its investigation to assure i
that the list of Weld Inspection Plans is complete and that the newly identified welds are reinspected or otherwise properly dispositioned.
