McGuire Nuclear Station, Unit 1 Docket Number 50-369 Cycle 8 Reload Submittal Attached is the Reload Report to support the startup of McGuire Unit 1 Cycle 8. This report contains Technical Specification changes (Attachment I), changes to the Coro operating Limits Report (COLR) (Attachment II), and markups of the appropriate Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) chapters (Attachment III). Attachments II and III are provided for your information and use to assist in the review of the Technical Specification amendment. Design information relative to McGuire Unit 1 Cycle 8 appears in Attachment IV. -

The changes presented in this report reflect the first time Duke has performed the reload safety analysis at one of its Westinghouse units. Cycle 8 is also the first use of B & W Fuel Company fuel in a complete reload batch at McGuire.

A copy of this amendment request has been provided to the State of North Carolina.

Please note that this Technical Specification amendment request is required for the startup of McGuire Unit 1 Cycle 8, which is scheduled for November, 1991. If there are any concerns identified during the review please notify us as soon as possible, so that we may_ assist in resolving them in a timely manner.
