VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGES ELIMINATION OF CONTAINMENT SPRAY ADDITIVE SYSTEM By way ofletter LCV-0453 dated September 13,1994, Georgia Power Company (GPC) submitted a request for Technical Specification changes associated with the elimination of the containment spray additive system.

In a telephone call on November 18,1994, between GPC and the NRC staff, the staff requested that GPC make some editorial changes to the proposed LCO 3.5.5 and surveillance requirement 4.5.5.c. The original proposed wording did not specify the required quantity of trisodium phosphate (TSP) in the baskets but rather specified the quantity in the proposed bases. Georgia Power Company agreed with the staffs request to include the required quantity of TSP in the LCO and surveillance requirement. In addition, GPC agreed with the stafTto relocate to the bases the description of the use of fill marks on the storage baskets for satisfying surveillance requirement 4.5.5.c. Mark-ups of the originally submitted pages are attached.

The above-described changes are editorial in nature and do not alter the intent or technical requirements of the specification. Further, the conclusion that the original changes do not involve a significant hazards consideration remains valid.
