SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE UNIT TWO August, 1983 08 to 08-11 Unit 2 entered the month operating at a power level of 747 MWe and operated until the lith, when it was found that additional arc strikes had burned a hole in another bellows seal for the primary containment system. (Same as last month). The unit was manually shutdown and cooled down.

08-11 to 08-31 After repairs, the unit was once again placed back in service. The unit operated the remainder of the month (with normal power reductions on weekends for surveil-lances) reaching a power level of 813 MWe with a capacity factor of 86.25% and an availability of 95:88%.

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE UNIT THREE August, 1983 i

8-1 to 8-31 Unit Three entered the month operating at a power level of 612 MWe and operated continuously throughout the entire month (with normal power reductions on weekends for surveillances), reaching a power level of 615 MWe with a capacity factor of 68.65% and an availability of 100%.
