It is the intent of the PE00 Electric Production Department to establish a separate Omlity Ccritrol crganization at LG.

The QC organization shall report administrative 1y and fmetianally to the Superintendent of the Electric l

Producticri m Division. Draft FSAR Fig.are 17.2-3A is a diagram of the Quality l

Assurance Division incitriing th? Iroposed QC ceganization, j

Draft FSAR Figure 17.2-1B is a ftnctimal diagram of the presently described QA/QC ceganization. Draf t FSAR Figure 17.2-1C is a functicnal diagram incitating the proposed QC organization with approximate personnel staffing. 'Ihe proposed Onlity Cmtrol ceganizaticn will replace the presently described QC functims of the Maintenance Divisicn and LG staff. The proposed QC Program, in conjunctim with the presetly described Quality Assurance Program, will enhance the overall LG Onlity Program by providing a separate, independent QC inspecticn organization. It will also provide additional assurance, throuft process control, product acceptance and verificatim, that items and activities shall conform to the LE m Plan, regulatory, and license requirements during the cperations t ase.

l It is the intent of the overall I.G quality program to provide enhanced coordinated verifimtion of plant operaticnal activities. This coverage will be provided utilizing a combination of the atdit, surveillance, monitorirg, inspection ard review fmeticms. Although Omlity Control shall te part of the Quality Assurance orcpnizaticm, each group in (A will have its irdividually defined responsibilities.

In general, Quality Assurance personnel will perform atdit, surveillance, and review of administrative activities. Omlity Control personnel will conduct process monitoring, inspection and review of implementirn activities.

The proposed IG Quality Control Program shall be implemented at least ninety (90) days prior to In fuel load. A description of the Quality Control Program shall be incitded in an update of the FSAR.
