Catawba Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-413 and 50-414 McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 Dockei Nos. 50 369 and 50-370 NRC Bulletin 8811 Pressurizer Surge Line Thermal Stratification In a letter dated April 30,1991, Duke Power stated that all documentation for Bulletin 88-11 would be in place by July 15, 1991.
Duke also stated that Westinghouse was performing the additional analysis on the pressurizer surge line nozzles and that the NRC would be provided with the results of this analysis within 10 days of finalizing the Westinghouse draft.
Duke Power will not meet the July 15, 1991 commitment date. liowever, Duke will complete all of the required work and documentation by December 31, 1991. This extension is necessary because of a higher than expected internal workload.

" pplicable stress and fatigue requirements.
The justification for continued opera..i submitted in May,1989, justified ten additional heatup-cooldown cycles. This will rot be exceeded for any unit before December 31, 1991.
