Subsequent to the filing of LILCO's " Report and Request for Temporary Deferral," Staff counsel informed LILCO that the Board requested information concerning the relationship 'between the diesel generator cylinder heads and the crankshaft failure.

It is LILCO's preliminary view that the issues are not related,

, but no firm conclusions can be reached until more information'is available.
