Gentlemen:
l Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 2 Stagnant Location Chloride Test Program Reference (1) set forth a program for assuring the continued integrity of safety-related piping systems which are not frequently flushed or which con-tain non-flowing liquids. Reference (2) proposed a chemical sampling program n responsive to Reference (1), and Reference (3) transmitted the results of the V first year's stagnant location test results.
Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) has now completed the second year's monitoring program and the results of the analysis are attached. There have been no unacceptable conditions noted since the inception of this program.
As stated in Reference (2), NNECO will be implementing an augmented Inservice Inspection Program (on April 26, 1979) which will include the tanks and piping systems presently being monitored under the stagnant location test program.
Therefore, NNECO intends to conclude the supplementary chemical monitoring at this time although the on-going plant chemical surveillance activity on the Refueling Water Storage Tank and the Safety Injection Tanks will continue.
