The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued-.
. Amendment No.17 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-10, and Amendment No. 5 to Facility Operating Li~cen'se NPF-15 to Southern California Edison
. Company (SCE),- San Diego~ Gas and Ele'ctric Company, The City of Riverside, California.and The City of Anaheim, Cal.ifornia (licensees) for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 an'd 3 (the facility) located in
- San Diego County, California. These amendments ~are effective April 29, 1983.
J' The amendments' modify-the licens'e condition and Technical Specifications covering the Po,st Accident Sampling, System (PASS) to require availability and training of operators, development of procedures, implementation of interim i
compensatory mea'sures, monthly progress reports, and full operability by
~
I September 1, l'983. These amendments were requested by the SCE letters of i
- February 24, March 4, April 14, and April 19, 1983.
Issuance of tilese. amendments complies with the standards and requirements r
(-
of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings' as required by the Act and the Commission's regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendments.
