Dear Mr. Starostecki:
The following is provided in response to your request for additional information concerning NRC I.E.Bulletin 82-01, Revision 1, Supplement 1.
Initially, 42 welds were determined to have altered radiographs.
Thirty-nine of these welds were reradiographed and found to be acceptable.
The remaining three welds were inaccessible for reradiography and are currently under evaluation.
When this evaluation is complete, the results will be available for review at the Nine Mile Point Unit 2 site.
ITT Grinnell later identified two additional welds with enhanced radiographs, one of which required reradiography. The reradiography was performed and the weld was found to be satisfactory.
The remaining weld had been cut out in accordance with SWEC Engineering and Design Coordination Report No. P11914.
