Gentlemen:
On June 2, 1906, TV Electric notified you via Reference 1 of a reportable i
item involving.the motor operators for several valves in the main steam
. system.
Reference.2 stated that Unit 2 activities for this item were not scheduled, but would be discussed in a report prior to fuel load.
This report describes'the corrective action to be completed on Unit 2.
The corrective action for Unit 2 will be identical to that for Unit 1 as described in Reference 3.
That is, design changes are being implemented to restore the modified manually operated valves to their original condition and to install additional air-operated valves to provide for the double HELB isolation capabilities described in FSAR-Section 7.6.12.2.
These modifications will be completed prior to fuel load.
