Long Term Program and Schedule
Dear Sir:
On April 14, 1983 Boston Edison Company executives met with members of your staff, to present its Long Term Program and schedule. During that meeting Boston Edison presented the Program's objectives and the methodology for the Programs develop-ment and implementation.
At the close of that meeting Boston Edison stated its intention to formally submit its Long Term Program on the Pilgrim Docket.
The enclosure accompanying this letter satisfies that intention.
The specific requests for schedular relief discussed during the April 14 meeting, and delin-eated in the Program and Schedule, are being transmitted under separate cover.
We wish to reemphasize that the Boston Edison Company is firmly committed to the safe, reliable, and economic operation of Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station.
We believe that this program provides an effective, dynamic means of achieving this goal.
As discussed in the enclosure, Boston Edison will be periodically meeting with your staff on an established schedule to review its progress with the Program and assess the need for adjustments.
