WITHDRAWAL OF REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPP-57 HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G), hereby withdraws our December 23, 1988 request for Amendment of the Hope Creek Generating Station Facility Operating License NFP-57.
The subject request (
Reference:
LCR 88-09), proposing increased Main Steam Isolation Valve (MSIV) leakage limits, was supported by BWR Owners' Group (BWROG) work in response to NRC Generic Issue C-8, "MSIV Leakage and LCS Failure" and by a General Electric (GE) report which described the associated safety benefits and provided analyses, methodologies and technical justification for the proposed change.
By letter dated April 4, 1991, PSE&G submitted a revised version of the amendment request that also included applications for specific exemptions from 10CFR50, Appendix J and from 10CFR100, Appendix A.
This second submittal, (
Reference:
LCR 91-02), was supported by additional BWROG efforts and GE Report, NEDC-31858P, and is intended to replace our first request in its entirety.
