SUMMARY

MONTH:

March 1991 Catawba Unit 1 began the month of March shut down due to generator exciter field ground.

The unit returned on-line at 1332 on 03/03, and 3

began a power increase.

The unit was held at approximately 20% power from 2045 on 03/03 to 0338 on 03/04 for a steam generator secondary side boron soak.

The unit reached 100% full power at 1545 on 03/04, and operated at 100% full power until 1405 on 03/20, when a power reduction was commenced to take the unit of f line for its end of cycle "5"

refueling outage.

The unit remained in the outage as of the end of the month.
