TVA letter to NRC dated May 18, 1994, "Sequoyah Nuclear Plant l (SQN) - Technical Specification (TS) Change 94-05, ' Tornado Warning Change'"

In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, we are enclosing a requested amendment to Licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79 to change the TSs of SQN Units 1 and 2.

Based on conversations with the NRC staff, the proposed change has been revised from that submitted in the above referenced letter. This revised l change adds an action statement to TS 3.7.7 to provide for a fixed

duration to be in the tornado warning configuration and to return the control room emergency room ventilation system to normal configuration l upon notification of lifting of the tornado warning.

t The revised TS change is identified in Enclosure 1. The justification for the revised TS change is provided in Enclosure 2. The proposed determination of no significant hazards consideration performed pursuant to 10 CFR 50.92 provided in the above referenced letter remains unchanged.

t TVA requests a 45-day implementation period for this TS change following issuance.
