Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 NPDES Pemit Changes / Violations Gentlemen:
Amendment No. 64 to the Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. 1 Technical Specifications, dated March 11, 1983, deleted the non-radio-logical water quality related requirements from Appendix B, as permitted by the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972. This action was appropriate since we hold an NPDES permit which is under the jurisdiction of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency.
A concern was addressed in the letter forwarding Amendment No. 64, that the NRC wishes to remain informed about any changes to the NPDES permit and any violations of this permit. This letter is to confirm our commitment to provide the NRC with a copy of any changes to the NPDES discharge pemit and any permit violations requiring notification to the permitting agency at the time this information is reported to or received f rom the permitting agency. We will submit a copy of this information to the Region 1 Administrator and a copy to the Director, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
