This letter is in response to a request by NRC staff reinbers to delete all Appendix B Technical Specifications ccncerning non-radic1cgical water quality requirements. This action has been pre-scribed by the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Arendments of 1972.
We are presently revising Appendix 3 as part of Technical Spec-ification Change Request No. 36, Revision 3, which requires that we L
delete from Appendix B the radiological specifications that are to be l
incorporated inte Appendix A by the Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications (REIS). The propeeed changes to Appendix B will b6 l'
reviewed by the CBC and ORC prior to our submittal. The proposed L
changes will include both deleting the radiological specifications that are to be incorporated into the RETS and in response to the above request, it will delete the non-radiological water quality specifications.
We have detemined that the following sections of our present i-
