This letter is to confirm notification given to Mr. E. R. Swanson, NRC Region III Resident Inspector, at 1550 hours0.0179 days <br />0.431 hours <br />0.00256 weeks <br />5.89775e-4 months <br /> on June 16, 1983, l

in accoroance with Technical Specification 6.9.1.12b.

At that time Mr. Swanson was informed that performance of Train "B" of the Baron Injection Tank Inlet Piping Heat Trace Circuitry was questioned on June 12, 1983, but the train was not declared inoperable until June 16, 1983. The initial investigation indicated that the Action Statement of Technical Specification 3.5.4.2 was not performed during the period June 12, 1983 to June 16, 1983.

Following a thorough investigation of this event, a followup report will be submitted in accordance with Technical Specification 6.9.1.2.
