Dear Mr. Schwencer:
Reference:
- 1) IP letter 2/3/83, U-0595, G. E. Wuller to A. Schwencer, NRC, subj ect :
SER Confirmatory Issue #59.
- 2) Meeting between IP and NRC, February 16-17, 1983;
" Status of CPS SER Outstanding & Confirmatory Issues."
Subject:
Clinton Power Station Unit 1 SER Confirmatory Issue #59 (NUREG-0853)
The reference (1) letter provided test information on the Clinton penetration seals.
The information was supplied to obtain NRC closure of SER Confirmatory Issue #59, Three-hour-fire-rated penetration seals.
During our recent meeting (reference 2), Mr. John Stang, NRC Chemical Engineering Branch, requested identification of the testing organization for the penetration seals fire tests.
The CPS fire tests for the penetration seals were performed by the Portland Cement Association.
We trust that this information is sufficient to close out SER Confirmatory Issue #59.
Please advise us whether or not you concur.
Sincerely, 2
