Re ference :

PECO letter from E.

Bradley to A.

Schwencer dated May 10, 1983 File:

GOVT l-1 (FSAR)

Dear Mr. Schwencer:

The reference letter transmitted changes to FSAR Section 3.11 in response to CSB draft SER issue number 4 and stated that these FSAR changes would be incorporated into the FSAR in June.

FSAR Section 3.11 was completely revised in revision 20 in May.

The changes made by revision 20 supercede the changes transmitted via the reference letter.

The revision 20 changes to Section 3.11 deleted all tables and figures from Section 3.11 and made reference to the Equipment Qualification Report (EQR) as the source of this information.

To ensure consistency of information between the FSAR and EQR a review;was performed of FSAR figures 6.2-8 and 6.2-9 against the drywell temperature profile in Appendix C of the EQR.

Utilizing better resolution profiles of figures 6.2-8 and 6.2-9 from GE, minor discrepancies of I or 2 F were found, except for t=3 days for which there was an 11 F difference.

A draft copy of the revised drywell profile from the EQR is attached.

This figure envelopes the wetwell and will be used for equipment qualification in the wetwell.

Adequate margin exists in the current equipment qualification program to accommodate these changes, and the new temperatures will be incorporated into the next revision of the EQR as figure 3, Appendix C.
