J eg TU Electric senior management is routinely updated on the Fitness For Duty Program at Comanche Peak. Issues are discussed and management actions to improve the program are carried out by the Fitness For Duty Coordinator.
On February 8,1994, TU Electric reported to the NRC by telephone under 10CFR26.73 that the results of a Random Drug Test for an individual assigned supervisory responsibility had been confirmed Positive. The individual was a contract employee and the confinned Positive result was for amphetamines. The individual was denied Unescorted Access and returned to the employer. After a review by senior management, it was noted that the individual supervised the installation of office furniture. No safety / quality related work was performed by the individual and there was no safety impact on the operation of the plant.
On April 5,1994, TU Electric reported to the NRC by te?ephone under 10CFR26.73 a significant Fitness For Duty event. The significant event reported was an armed Security Officer had received a confinned Positive Random Drug Test for amphetamines. After a review, TU Electric senior management determined there was no safety impact on the operation of the plant.
