Dear Mr. Foppler:
This is to confirm a verbal report made by Mr. B.A. Svensson, Assistant Plant Manager, to Mr. E.R. Swanson, NRC Senior Resident Inspector, on February 24, 1983, at 1325 hours0.0153 days <br />0.368 hours <br />0.00219 weeks <br />5.041625e-4 months <br />. At this time Mr. Svensson reported that during a review of a crmputerized printout which delineates Cali-bration Surveillance Test Schedules, it was discovered that the Con-tainment Fire Detector Instrumentation Surveillance Test (Technical Specification 4.3.3.8.1(1)) for D.C. Cook Unit 2 had not been performed as required, and that the criteria to post a fire watch within one hour was not satisfied as the fire watch was not posted until one hour and 20 minutes had elapsed after notification that the test had not been performed.
As required by Technical Specification 6.9.1.8, a follcwup report will be subnitted within 14 days frcm the date of this letter.
