- s Enclosura Sarial No. 737 NORTH ANNA POWER STATION IE BULLETIN 81-01. REVISION 1 SURVEILLANCE OF MECHANICAL SNUBBERS There are four mechanical snubbers installed on North Anna linit 1.
These snubbers were installed in the spring of 1981 during a refueling outage.
There are no mechanical snubbers installed on North Anna Unit 2.
The four mechanical snubbers that were installed in the spring of 1981 were new Pacific Scientific Company (PSA-1/4) snubbers.
These snubbers were certified to meet the required functional tests.
In addition to the manufacturer's certification, these snubbers were field verified to be operable. The surveillance tests for snubber visual inspection and functional testing have been revised to reflect the four new mechanical snubbers.
The four installed mechanical snubbers and the one spare snubber were tested during the 1982 refueling outage. The snubbers were removed and sent to Wylie Laboratories for functional testing.
All of the snubbers were satisfactorily tested on July 6, 1982.
