ALTERNATE SAFE SHUTDOWN NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 On June 22, 1982, Vepco submitrea additional information regarding safe shutdown capability as addressed by Appendix R to 10 CFR 50.
In Section E of this submittal, Vepco made commitments concerning the scheduling of various plant modilications and the necessity for additional plant procedures.
Vepco intends to follow the guidance of 10 CFR 50.48(c)(4), as indicated in your letter dated November 18, 1982, concerning the schedule to complete the required modifications of Section E of our submittal.
Vepco proposes an extension to March 1,
1983 to complete required plant procedures for alternate safe shutdown capability. This schedule extension is needed due to the fact that our submittal was not approved until November 18, 1982 and there was not sufficient time to write these procedures to meet our commitment date of January 1, 1983.
