Krieger) to NRC Document Control Desk dated May 20, 1994;
Subject:
Licensee Event Report 94-003 In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.73 (d), by the referenced letter, Edison provided a Licensee Event Report for several missed fire protection Technical Specification su rveillances.
When the LER was submitted, Edison had not completed our evaluation of the cause(s) of the missed surveillances and the LER indicated that Edison planned to submit a revision by July 29, 1994 to report the results of our evaluation.
)
While conducting our evaluation, Edison determined the initial cause of the missed surveillances to be procedure revision errors.
However, based on several other recent errors involving the conduct of surveillances, Edison management believes it prudent to collectively examine these other errors.
Consequently, Edison will continue our evaluation and when complete, will submit a revision to LER 94-003 to report our findings.
