Additional Information Regarding NUREG-0737, Item II.B.1, Reactor Coolant System Vents
Dear Sir:
Reference (b) requested Vermont Yankee to identify systems, other than the reactor coolant system, which:
1) were required to provide adequate core cooling, and 2) may be incapacitated by the accumulation of a large amount of condensible gas within the system.
We have examined all systems required to maintain adequate core cooling at our facility and have concluded that none of these systems are configured such that the collection of a large amount of noncondensible gas would cause a loss of system function.
We trust this information is satisfactory; however, should you have any questions, please contact us.
Very truly yours, VERMONT YANKEE NUCLEAR POWER CORPORATION
